The New York Milk Bank (NYMB) is dedicated to improving the health and survival of infants by providing pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM) when their mothers’ own milk is unavailable or insufficient. We are seeking to further develop donor milk programs in hospitals throughout the Tri-State area, primarily in NYS. As part of our purpose-driven organization, hospital outreach plays a key role in helping to nourish premature and medically fragile babies so they can reach their full potential.
This is a remote/WFH position as a 1099 contractor. Pay is $80/hr (1099). This is a part time role, ONLY 5 hours per week maximum. This is a 1 to 3 month assignment.
Individuals with backgrounds in nursing, healthcare management, lactation, and nutrition may be well-suited for this opportunity. Some professional experience/job titles which may be helpful to have, if considering this part time, contract (1099) assignment, are NICU Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Hospital Nutritionists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Healthcare Educators, Clinical Research Coordinators, Healthcare Administrators, Health Information Managers, Hospital Dietitians, Pharmacy Managers, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.
Role:
Expand the NYMB donor milk programs in NICUs (primarily Level 3) and Baby-Friendly designated hospitals without a donor milk program. We are looking for professionals with experience working with and calling on hospitals to assist with creating donor milk programs and increasing access to pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM).
