Job Description

Duties

  • Supervisory oversight of warehousing, property transportation and construction. Oversees the work performed by carpenters, electricians, utility system(s) operators, janitors and/or others.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, repair and condition of the MWR/Lodging facilities.
  • Directs and supervises a medium to large staff of employees in all phases of building/grounds maintenance of multiple locations. Screens work orders to determine whether or not work will be accomplished by assigned workforce or other activities.
  • Inspects and directs activities providing services such as plumbing, utility, carpentry and electrical services. Inspects work during and upon completion. Maintains and reports status of work to management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Work experience performing related duties and knowledge of practices and procedures related to facilities maintenance and/or repair, material required and costs associated with a successful maintenance program.

Highly Preferred:

1. Must have experience leading a maintenance crew and tradesmen of 6-15 in maintaining outdoor recreation/campground area.
2. Must have 2 plus years directly responsible for the oversight of maintaining a recreation area to include: campsites, special activity areas such as paintball fields, archery ranges, challenge courses, mountain bike/hiking trails, beaches, marinas, floating docks and equestrian centers.
3. Must have 3+ years of researching, purchasing, tracking and accountability of equipment and supplies.
4. Must have 2+ years of experience overseeing contractual utilities services serving as a liaison between the facility and contractors.
5. Must have experience programming commercial grade, animated holiday light displays and controllers.
