Mount Sinai’s Faculty Primary Care Practice is located at 235 E. 85th Street and our Specialty Care Practice is located at 5 E. 98th street, both on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
This position is part of the administrative team in the practice which has 19-23 providers and sees approximately 250 patients/day. The position is full time (37.5 hours/week) and the practice hours are 8:00am – 7:00pm; This position's schedule is generally Monday-Friday 9a-5p.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provides secretarial and clinical support to Physicians & Surgeons in a faculty practice setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. May schedule appointments for patients.
2. Take detailed clinical phone messages for physician or advanced allied healthcare provider.
3. Acquire insurance authorizations for procedures and tests ordered by attending physician.
4. May enter orders into the electronic medical record (EMR) system or prepare prescription refill requests on behalf of the physician for the review and approval by the ordering physician.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41,999.85 - $51,999.93 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
