Parkview is not your typical nursing home! Our retirement community serves high quality meals in a fine dining environment served to the table. Our cooks use high quality ingredients and prepare a variety of delicious meals for residents in independent living, assisted living and skilled care. All cooks must have or be willing to obtain a food service sanitation certificate through the State of Illinois. Duties include: Prepares and cooks hot or cold food and garnishes as assigned or designated on production sheets for main dining room and health center. Follows recipes and safe food handling practices. Serves an appealing, palatable, properly proportioned meal. Makes special request items for residents.

We are seeking a Cook for our PM shift. Hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM including every other weekend. In addition to cooking must be willing to assist with other duties in the kitchen and serving in the dining room and helping in the dish room. To attain full time hours must willing to help in other areas and work a couple day shifts per pay period.

HS diploma or GED. Must have current food service sanitation license or willing to obtain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
