Causa/Amazonia are two Peruvian experiences from Chef Carlos Delgado, and Glendon Hartley and Chad Spangler from Service Bar. Causa will feature fresh ceviche, whole fish preparations, wood grilled anticucho, and an exploration of Peruvian coastal and Andes cuisine. Amazonia focuses on cuisine from the jungle, alongside native Peruvian staples.
Find refreshment in an extensive cocktail list, sample from one of America's largest pisco libraries, or enjoy a respectable menu of fun natural & South American wines.


We are looking looking for Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to join our team. We are located at 920 Blagden Alley NW. Our team members begin training and establishing a foothold in Amazonia, and can then be cross trained with Causa service after excellence and experience are shown.

At Causa/Amazonia we are an employee focused company, and put our team members first. We believe in helping to create a more stable income for our tipped staff, and will include a suggested 20% gratuity on all items sold in house.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Upholding the culture and standards of Causa as dictated in our company handbook.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails and proper cocktail production. Minimum two years experience in a cocktail focused bar program.
  • Mastery of all menu cocktails, wine, and beer.
  • Mastery of food knowledge and steps of service.
  • General bar related duties including and but not limited to restocking, inventory, cash handling, cleaning, etc.

Qualifications

  • Cultivating a warm and welcoming environment for guests or future patrons.
  • Minimum two years experience in cocktail focused bar program
  • Spanish comprehension/fluency is preferred
  • Desire to learn the art of mixing cocktails and deep dive into Pisco, Peru's spirit
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • TIPS certificate. ABRA Manager's License preferred.
