As a Legal Counsel,you will primarily support commercial contracts for the provision of new goodsand services and suggest innovative ways to deal with contract requirements,negotiations, obligations, disputes and exposures to business partners. Theposition will be based out of Siemens Energy offices in Orlando, Florida andwill primarily support Siemens Energy businesses throughout North America.

How You’ll Make anImpact

  • Write, review, analyze, modify andnegotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk.
  • Write, review, analyze, modify andnegotiate memoranda of understanding, confidentiality agreements, letters ofintent, changes to existing agreements for service and equipment, and othercontractual terms and conditions.
  • Summarize and prepare risk summaries for review and approval bymanagement.
  • Provide support for corporate governance and compliance matters.
  • Revie and provide legal advice relating to general corporate matters.
  • Conduct legal research and provide ongoing legal support within territory.

What You Bring

  • Juris Doctorate is required.
  • Must be currently admitted and maintain licenseto practice law in one or more states in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in a lawfirm or corporate in-house position and/or drafting and negotiating contractsin an energy (fossil, nuclear) /contracts environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills, detail oriented,able to handle multiple demands at the same time.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving andstrong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules andpriorities.
  • Team player who can also work independently andthrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely witha range of colleagues, business partners and senior executives.
  • Excellent communication, writing, andfacilitation skills.
  • Highly proficient technical skills in MS OfficeSuite.
  • Commercial transaction experience.
  • Energy Industry experience.
