Job Description

The Lead QA Analyst will be a Quality Assurance leader on the development team with considerable experience and knowledge to ensure high quality project delivery. Their role is to ensure that the software developed is of high quality and kept on track to complete as required by business team. The position reports to the VP of Information Technology and will be based out of our Rosemont, IL headquarters and can be worked on a hybrid basis with both in and out of office days.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for Oasis Development Team overall QA performance by establishing, documenting, and managing testing methodology
• Actively thinks and participates in developing new ways to improve testing process
• Manages and executes UAT testing with the business team
• Assists in test plans, coordinates execution, measurement, and reporting results
• Works closely with all members of the development team from product owners, SMEs, BSAs, and Developers. Collaborates daily with both offshore and onshore resources
• Ensures accuracy and accountability of quality initiatives
• Provides KPI-based reporting to account for the quality QA health of the development process
• Communicates issues, risks and scope impacting project/ticket execution and provides metrics as support
• Responsible and Accountable for team performance
• Includes training, managing standards, testing policies, enforcing testing procedures adherence, and managing on-time completion of projects
• Mentors QA Team Members
• Works closely with project teams (business and technical) to understand business processes and works towards increasing the team’s understanding while developing and implementing system improvements, and focusing on improved quality delivery
• Maintains and reduces ‘Break/Fix/Bug’ tickets that have production impact
• Responsible for QA of releases, including post rollout smoke testing
• Responsible for updating and maintaining test cases – and manages the scope of testing for a deliverable – including QC, UAT, Regression, System/Smoke
• Analyzes Testing output and root cause analysis to provide feedback to improve system

Requirements

• 10+years of experience in software environment and comfortable working in an Agile Sprint environment, participating in planning and execution of testing tickets
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Technical Skills: .NET, Agile (JIRA), SQL script and data, APIs, and Postman a plus
• Must excel at translating and understanding business requirements, user acceptance criteria and software designs to create QC test plans
• Must be experienced with full QC including requirement analysis, decomposition, test case design, risk analysis and mitigation and traceability of requirements
• Able to multi-task in various business/process areas including Data/ETL processes
• Experience with automated testing tools and implement where applicable is a plus
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with Agile teams
