Purpose: The Medical Sales Manager’s primary responsibilities include developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales of the organization’s Specialty Tapes product line. This position is a field sales position that requires interfacing with customer contacts at multiple levels in Purchasing, Product Development, Operations, Quality and Marketing. This role will be responsible for managing our largest medical account in addition to calling on medical OEMs, nationally, to develop new business. This position will also manage the West Coast territory, which includes both medical and industrial accounts. The West Coast territory will cover: CA, OR, WA, ID, NV, AZ, MT, WY, CO, NM, and El Paso, TX
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute selling strategies with new and existing customers designed to close new business
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline equal to or greater than 20% of base business
- Develop long-term multi-level relationships from C-suite to manager titles across multiple customer functions
- Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, and Sales Leadership to define and deliver PSA solutions pertinent to the customer’s needs.
- Developing new business prospects through cold-calling, networking, and other methods
- Meet and exceed revenue and profitability budgeted goals, while implementing responsible price action and expense management.
- Provide accurate market reporting and customer forecasting o Interact with all levels of peers in our plants and functional teams in a positive, productive and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent
- Self-starter that is results oriented
- 5+ years of outside sales experience preferred with a solid background in the medical industry
- Up to 50% Travel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work cross-functionally to drive business solutions
- Strong Computer and organizations skills
- Innovative with strong project management skills
- Ability to learn new products and technologies
- Strong negotiation skills
- Prior experience with pressure-sensitive tapes preferred o Large, National Account, multi-site experience
