Job Description

SoHo Dragon represents an investment bank with offices in Jersey City, NJ that needs to hire a Junior IT Risk Analyst.


This role is hybrid 2-3x in office in Jersey City.


Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for managing various initiatives to identify risks and how these risks will be mitigated by the IT teams. Candidate will support the ITRMU’s assessors as well as to work independently with different IT Subject Matter Experts to understand each of their processes and the application they support and be able to document run books, provide metrics reporting to management. Exposure to an IT development environment in a financial industry is beneficial.


Key responsibilities include:


Perform data analysis on large volume of data to identify risk trends using Excel or another tool

Perform application, cloud and infrastructure risk assessments

Manage asset inventory

Identify risks and critical paths on the projects; track them and facilitate with the team to mitigate these risks
Provide root cause analysis, along with conclusion on production issues
Prepare documentation on processes such as, but not limited to manuals, flow charts, FAQ, run book
Provide appropriate information sharing and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders

Responsible for maintaining group’s shared mailbox

Schedule meetings with stakeholders, prepare agendas, distribute post meeting minutes and follow up on action items. Capture meeting minutes.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT risk environment working in mid- large financial institutions
  • Working in Banking or Investment Banking industry; knowledge in banking products and their operational workflows (i.e. how banking products are processed)
  • Advance knowledge of Excel
  • Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff. Able to articulate issues clearly and succinctly; willingness to escalate issues where needed
  • Self-starter is necessary, able to work with limited instructions and deliver tasks quickly. Be able to work with agility due to change in directions without impacting to the delivery date
  • Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Tolerance and understanding of multiple cultures
  • Working knowledgeable using Archer, SeviceNow, VISIO, PowerPoint, Word, MS Exchange
  • Able to think ‘out of the box’ and work efficiently
  • Completes administrative tasks on a timely back


Education:

Bachelor's Degree. PMP not required, but preferred.
