JOB SUMMARY

The HR Support Coordinator is the first contact in the HR Office and is responsible for providing professional administrative support to new and existing team members. Duties include greeting team members at the front desk, researching questions in our HR systems, providing solutions or direction and working in close partnership with all HR Team Members and Leadership to be a credible resource for our applicants and Team Members.

The HR Support Coordinator is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. Must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries including benefits and payroll
  • Ensure all inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely manner
  • Support for onboarding, processing and new hire orientation
  • Provide instructions and/or assistance to team members on the computer for self-service and learning systems
  • Maintain digital and paper Team Member records
  • Issue bus passes, make badges and process Team Member fringe benefits
  • Complete verifications of employment
  • Daily activities include data entry, supply orders, copies and filing
  • Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the Team Member experience and partner with the HR team to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions
  • All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Outstanding administrative and communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Experience as an HR Coordinator; 1 year preferred
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism - can interact with all levels of the organization as a main point of contact for team
  • Strong ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity
  • Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws/regulations and company policies
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive and able to take initiative
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling conflicts
  • Can multi-task and work in a fast-paced energetic environment
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite, previous experience with an applicant tracking system and HRIS strongly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment
  • Must be able to maneuver around office and property
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist and work at a desk/counter when performing functions of the job
  • Office environment may include variable temperature and lighting levels
  • Casino environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting and noise
