The hotel will feature 330 guest rooms, including 11 suites, four dining outlets, a spacious pool deck, retail, and almost 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space with expansive views of the ASU campus and the Tempe cityscape. Job Description:
Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Front Desk Agent to join the team of our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU provides Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space, and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide tremendous options for our guests for dining and entertainment.

So where does the Front Desk Agent fit in? This role will work as an integral part of providing a 4-diamond guest experience from guest arrival through departure. Our ideal candidate possesses a passion for creating memorable experience and providing exemplary moments of service to each guest.
Responsibilities:
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to Omni’s Moments of Service and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests’ requests.
  • Secure methods of payments for the guests’ stay and maintain the security and privacy of all hotel guests.
  • Block rooms in the computer according to the guest’s request. Ensure special requests are notated in the reservation.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping any opportunity with room moves or VIP guest arriving and expedite their room being ready.
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, local information and recommendations and current hours of operation for the outlets.
  • Offer upgraded rooms to drive revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Secure bank at the beginning and the end of shift.
  • Answer telephone calls in a professional and polished manner.
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
  • Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security. Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous hotel front desk experience is strongly preferred
  • Candidates must have previous customer service experience; hotel experience is preferred.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Excellent customer service, anticipation of guest needs and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must have strong communication, presentation, training, and organizational skills.
  • Must be service and detail oriented, possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time
  • Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
