Pow Pow in Washington, DC is looking for one prep cook to join our 20 person strong team. We have locations at 1250 Eye Street NW & 1253 H St NE. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working and a self motivator.

Responsibilities

*Set up and break down workstation *Follow recipes and prepare dishes *Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking *Weigh and measure ingredients *Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables *Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces *Label stock and inventory all ingredients *Weigh and measure ingredients to be used *Make sauces *Place orders for ingredients *Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas

Qualifications

*Ability to communicate and listen to team members *Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal *Experience working in BOH position *Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $17.00 - $23.00/hour.
