Coke Florida Driver Merchandisers are responsible for local delivery of pre-ordered beverages to assigned retail accounts utilizing a Class A Tractor Trailer. Our Coke Florida Driver Merchandisers are also responsible for unloading, stocking, merchandising and rotating product in retail stores. You must have a valid Class A license to qualify for this role. This is a full-time position, predominately day shift with a four-day, 10-hour schedule. Home every night! You must be 21 years of age or older to qualify and be able to drive a manual transmission.

As a Coke Florida Driver Merchandiser your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Driving and delivery of pre-ordered products to assigned retail accounts
  • Unload trucks and continuously check accuracy and stability of the load
  • Place stock in stockrooms and merchandise, stock and rotate product on retail floor according to company standards
  • Invoice and collect monies due (cash-free), and settle all accounts daily
  • Pick up company property and secure company assets
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures
To ensure success as a Coke Florida Driver Merchandiser you must meet or exceed the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • You must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • You must be legally eligible to work for any employer in the United States
  • You must have a valid Commercial Class A license
  • Your driving record (MVR) cannot have any major moving violations* with the last 3 years
  • At least 8 months-1 year of commercial driving experience is highly preferred
  • 1-3 years of general work experience is required
  • Local delivery, grocery store or consumer products experience is a plus
  • Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks, hand truck and/or dolly
  • You must be familiar with all DOT regulations and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and reckless or careless driving. Minor moving violations include, but are not limited to, speeding, driving too close, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records, including minor moving violations, will be evaluated according to Coke Florida guidelines to determine eligibility for the Driver Merchandiser position.
The role of a Driver Merchandiser is extremely physical. Physical abilities needed include:

  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance while kneeling, squatting, reaching about the head, reaching at the waist, reaching below the knees, and bending at the knees
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull manual transport equipment (for example, manual or electric pallet jack or hand truck and/or dolly) containing product loads a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities
  • Ability to read information in small, medium and large print
  • Ability to stand a minimum of 6 hours during the work day up to 10 hours
  • Ability to walk a minimum of 4 miles during the work day
  • Frequently work in hot/humid outdoor environment
