Registered Dietitian
Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, full-time Registered Dietitian to join our great team of professionals and provide our residents with a nutritious and appealing diet. Registered Dietitian is a salaried position with a flexible schedule. They earn a competitive salary, based on experience. Possesses the ability to make independent decisions both in and out of the kitchen when circumstances warrant such action.
Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public discussing food and nutrition choices relating to specific diets.
Possesses leadership ability in the kitchen and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and nonprofessional personnel within the dietary department with the goal of healthy and safe food preparation.
Possesses patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

Requirements for our Registered Dietitian
Must have a current, unencumbered license to practice as a dietitian in this state.
Must be knowledgeable of kitchen and dining service procedures as well as related food safety laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in the long term care facility encompassing food served, nutrition guidance, and diet consistencies.
Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Dietary Department.
Must be able to read and interpret dietary cost reports, financial date, etc.
