Job Description

Salary: $52,000 per year base + yearly bonus and full healthcare (dental, vision etc. for you and your family at no additional cost). Willing to pay up to $75,000 base salary (depending on experience)

3% IRA retirement plan contribution matching by Premier into your IRA

First year you will receive (5) paid vacation days (not including 2 paid sick days, 1 paid personal day and other paid federal holidays).

You will be paid $1,000 every week on Thursdays (or more depending on experience)

Premier Demolition is a family owned demolition company based in St. Louis, Missouri with 25 years of experience in the industry working throughout the Midwest. We specialize in providing safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible demolition services for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. We perform Bridge Demolitions, Tank Demolitions, WWTP Demolitions, residential house demolitions, etc.

We are currently seeking a motivated Estimator with experience in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to carefully read plans and specifications, have good communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for demolition projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, office manager, superintendents, and other team members to gather necessary information needed for submitting bids.
  • Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in our bids.
  • Prepare and submit detailed, well-organized proposals and bids to clients in a timely manner.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid openings as necessary, representing the company professionally and knowledgeably.
  • Maintain and update a database of historical project data, including labor rates, material costs, and equipment rental rates, to inform future estimates.
  • Monitor industry trends and local market conditions to stay current with pricing fluctuations and potential project opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to foster a positive business environment and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure a smooth transition from the estimating phase to project execution.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions, workshops, and conferences to stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualification:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry
  • Familiar with Excel, Word and PDF formatting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to read and understand local, state, and federal regulations governing demolition work.
  • Availability to work in the office Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
