Job Description

  • Handle all credit and collections for an assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Determine the reason for non-payment of invoices. This includes taking the appropriate steps to resolve all outstanding issues within the assigned portfolio of accounts, including identifying those accounts that will be assigned to outside collection agencies.
  • Process credit applications, including obtaining bank and credit references.
  • Prepare monthly dunning, new customer, credit line change, and order cancellation letters.
  • Perform customer account maintenance for your assigned territory/region (i.e. adding ship-to locations, updating billing addresses, adding contacts, etc.).
  • Manage order holds/releases.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Respond to customer credit inquiries from external and internal sources.
  • Prepare customer account adjustments.
  • Create and maintain credit history files (customer permanent files) and care for filing items therein.
