Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in technical implementation.
  • Experience in securing virtual private clouds, encrypting data at rest or in transit, securely onboarding external interfaces, and building applications or containers within a cloud environment.
  • TS/SCI Clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Special Access Programs, software development, system administration, system security engineering, JSIG, NIST 800-53, ICD 503, or RMF.
  • Understanding of modern processes and frameworks (e.g., DevSecOps, CI/CD, Zero Trust, etc.)
  • Ability to categorize and assess risk on systems and provide recommended architecture solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

About the job

As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will be working with Government partners to develop a cutting edge, modern cloud environment. You will design security solutions for Location-as-a-service (IaaS), Software-as-a-service (SaaS), and Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings for an enterprise system. You will review, design, and propose cloud solutions, and oversee the security and compliance of the cloud environment. You will serve as the primary cybersecurity subject matter expert for the program.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $128,000-$192,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide cybersecurity and architecture expertise for a modern cloud computing environment. Guide legacy systems migration to a modern platform and assist with the adoption.
  • Advise on the design and implementation of enterprise and systems security throughout the development life cycle. Translate technology and environmental conditions into security designs and processes.
  • Design and develop security requirements that mitigates risk while maintaining operational capability.
  • Verify architecture against program requirements and goals. Participate in technical discussions, trade studies, working groups, and conduct research on industry best practices for potential implementation.
  • Interface with program managers to explain security goals and mitigations relative to their priorities of cost and schedule.
