The Cashier is responsible for receiving/processing payments for services rendered, explaining the work performed, assisting with answering the phones, booking appointments, conducting follow-up calls, and answering client inquiries in a timely, effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures excellent service standards and maintains high customer satisfaction
  • Answers incoming calls to the Service department and schedules appointments or directs caller when necessary
  • Files/retrieves repair orders
  • Takes detailed, accurate messages
  • Closes out repair orders accordingly after payment is processed
  • Completes daily deposit
  • Sets and confirms appointments for Service department
  • Greets customers with a friendly, professional attitude, answering any questions and/or directing them to the appropriate person or location
  • Schedules service for customers either in person or on the phone
  • Verifies customer appointments and all relevant customer information (name, phone number, VIN, mileage, etc.)
  • Receives/processes payments for products and services and closes repair orders
  • Prepares deposits and maintains a cash management system
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Reynolds and Reynolds experience preferred
  • Must be dependable and follow assigned work schedule
  • Must be able to address and answer customer requests via phone and e-mail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Bi-lingual Spanish communication skills a plus
  • Must pass a drug test and a background check
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Cash handling experience
