Job Description

Carpenter Helper

Assists carpenter in constructing and repairing structural woodwork, equipment, and concrete forms according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instruction.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carries tools and equipment to the jobsite.
  • Measures, boards, timbers, or plywood using square, measuring tape and ruler.
  • Cuts wooden materials to required dimensions using handsaw or power saw and nails together
  • Cleans up work area when job is completed and returns materials and equipment to the appropriate location.

May require working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Requires working standing on feet most of the workday and climbing ladders, stooping, bending, or squatting. May require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
