Job Title: Caregiver
The candidate will provide direct care to residents while promoting residents’ highest level of functioning as directed by the Director of Wellness. Assists in maintaining residents’ environment in a safe and neat manner. Promotes quality services within facility standards, State and Federal Regulations. Above all, you will exhibit a passion for serving seniors while contributing to the positive environment our residents are proud to call home.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides personal care to residents per their individualized plan of care.
  • Prepare residents for meals and assist to and from the dining room. Assist residents with meal set up and eating.
  • Assist residents with toilet and incontinence care.
  • Perform clinical procedures according to facility standards and scope of practice regulations.
  • Perform vital signs, B/Ps, weights and other trained procedures as directed by management.
  • Complete prevention and restorative care including, but not limited to, range of motion exercises, ambulation, transferring, bathing, grooming, and all other ADL care.
  • Responsible for laundering of residents personal items, not limited to, personal laundry, sheets ,towels, etc.
  • Maintain education development and compliance with State and Federal Regulations and current knowledge of resident care practices.
  • Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, residents, families, visitors, and other disciplines.
  • Adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, worker safety and other emergency procedures.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA policies.
  • Seek out and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understands the mission of Homeplace is to ensure quality care and services are being delivered to ensure each day is the best day possible.
Qualifications:
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work alongside our aging population!
  • Certification of completing an approved State Registered Nursing Assistant is preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in long term care is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
