Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and implementing effective security measures in customer environments to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization’s information assets. You will work closely with clients to understand their security requirements, assess their current security posture, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and potential security breaches.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on security best practices, risk management, and security policies.
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to protect information assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, access controls, and encryption technologies.
  • Perform security audits and reviews to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures and provide reports and findings to management.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices, and provide timely recommendations for enhancements to the organization's security posture.
  • Provide expertise in the design and review of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to ensure they are secure by design.
  • Collaborate with clients and vendors on security assessments, audits, and due diligence activities as needed.

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $123,740 to 296,980 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Growth Driven Profit-Sharing plan.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in information security consulting and implementation, with a strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of vulnerability management and penetration testing methods and tools, and Cyber Threat Intelligence.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI and other industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in conducting security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, databases, and application security.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles, threat intelligence, and incident response procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies and stay updated with the latest security trends and best practices.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% to client sites.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA or other related certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud security, cyber resiliency/incident management, Zero Trust, network/EDGE security, and emerging technologies such as IoT, and AI is a plus.
