As an Accounting Clerk you will:
- Assists with a variety of accounting, reporting, project monitoring, record keeping and accounting file maintenance, including the preparation of accounting transactions associated with revenue, budget, journal entries and program monthly journal entereis.
- GAAP accounting standards EOM Journal Entries and processes - Payroll Accruals, Interest accruals, and various other EOM entries to close out the month.
- American Express Reconcilliation
- Bank Reconcilliation
- Establish and maintain various in-house spreadsheets and logs supplemental to the department's accounting systems.
- Enter data to the financial system Sage Intacct
- Work with Managers to ensure proper approval and general ledger coding.
- Analyze statements, making sure all invoices are processed timely and correctly.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial documentation and reporting.
- Ensure filing is organized and accurate.
- Assist in Audit preparation
- Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For In You:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Excellent working with computers and spreadsheets required.
- Ability to think analytically when reviewing financial information.
- Previous experience in billing, finance, or other related fields
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel. and PowerPoint
- Experience in data entry.
- Sage intact experience preferred.
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures.
