Duties

• Serves as a Senior Accountant responsible for operating and maintaining the Division's accounting system and to account and report the payroll activities for multiple agencies.
• Examines source documents, accounting transactions, to assure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Reviews and identifies regulatory, policy, and program changes affecting the accounting program, develops procedures in accounting system to accurately report accounting transactions. Certifies payroll and records in the accounting system.
• Prepares Department-wide accounting reports to regulatory agency or other client agencies.
• Analyzes Federal Personnel/Payroll System (FPPS) labor cost files and accounting files to ensure their propriety and reconciliation with Payroll Operation Division.
• Serves as the primary liaison with Personnel and Payroll Systems Division and with the client accounting offices on the labor cost file and other payroll accounting issues.
