Accounts Receivable Clerk Job Responsibilities: The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for many records and payment-related transactions. Consider including these responsibilities in your accounts receivable clerk job description:

• Posts customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions.
• Prepares the deposits to go to the bank
• Files away deposits by date after approval
• Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
• Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining information from the sales, service, or parts departments.
• Maintains the clearing accounts.
• Maintains open line of communication with the managers to collect outstanding balances.
• Prints receivable statements and mails them to vendors
• Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Posts internals to accounting and assists the office manager in any other AR related tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

• Automotive Accounting: 1 year (Required)
