Summary

Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant will oversee the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as periodic financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs accounting functions inclusive of AR, AP, Payroll, Expense reporting, etc.
  • Maintains General Ledger accounts and records of financial transactions.
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Physical presence at the office on a set and predictable schedule

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance related field, or equivalent business experience. Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 2 years minimum professional experience working in accounting
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with multi-state tax reporting
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
