Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the facility in all areas of responsibility including, but not limited to warehouse management, shipping and receiving, safety and team management. Direct the overall warehouse and transportation activities of the plant to ensure materials are readily available to support production needs and ensure customer fulfillment requirements met.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping/receiving, and customer service.
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, managing the flow, quality, and accuracy of work to maximize efficiency.
- Develop warehouse management system by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure timely and accurate material supplies available for production and customer fulfillment.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures to ensure compliance with DOT, plant safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and other legal requirements.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
- Responsible for development of team including interviewing, hiring, training, and constructive feedback.
Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- 7+ years of management experience required.
- Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) design and automation.
- Food processing/handling experience preferred. Proven track record in warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Continuous movement; must be able to stand for long periods.
- Ability to compute simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Visual, auditory and hand dexterity. Full body mobility. Adequate reading/language, writing and math skills. Able to work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.).
- Good hand/eye coordination. Heavy lifting required—some over 50lbs.
