Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Systems Administrator.
Candidate will join a team who's newest R&D efforts include domain adaptation for HLTs; cross-language information retrieval systems; cyber and transaction analysis; entity and relationship extraction; cross-media recognition; recommender systems; language-learning technologies; and analysis of social networks based on information content extraction from speech, text, and video combined with network communications and activities. On a global scale, they lead research in several speech, text, and multimedia analytics domains, with a long-standing and extensive publication record and history of international honors for staff.
A qualified individual is an experienced Systems Administrator to expand and maintain a heterogeneous network of Linux, Windows, OS X, VMware platforms and computer driven test equipment in support of AI research and development systems and test beds.

Requirements
- US Citizenship and the ability to acquire/maintain DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years’ experience
Required Experience
- System Administration
- High Performance Computing Systems i.e., rack mount, blade servers, etc.
- Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities
- Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp
- UNIX platform, OSX, Cisco IOS
- Virtualization Technologies to include VM management, Snapshots, SANs and iSCSI Storage Systems
- VM Ware ESXi and Associated Management Systems
Additionally Desired
- GPUs i.e., Cuda Processing
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Scoping, planning/designing, delivering, and maintaining systems
- Consultation and expertise in support of different projects, often with interesting and challenging computing constraints
- Technical support to users, provisioning new research systems, updating system configurations, solving user problems with application compatibility, installation, operating system upgrades
- Maintain a very heterogeneous and secure computing environment
- Assist in system compliance, issue detection, reporting and mitigation
- Support audit, maintenance, and disposal in accordance with guidelines
- Maintain configuration management and proper documentation
- Manage access to IT systems and ensures users are aware of their security responsibilities
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the SSPs
- Work special security issues and interact with management as needed
