Overview:
Archer Western Construction, a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking a
Rodman for the
SETN Region/I26 Widening Irmo, in
Columbia, SC.
The Rodman will perform field layout and measurements for grade stakes and mark reference points as instructed by Instrument Engineer or Surveyor.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete field surveying tasks such as measurement of distance for setting stakes
- May assist Surveyor in establishing elevation points and other field layout
- Provide care to survey equipment specifically chain and rod used for placing stakes
- May perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- 1 year of construction experience preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
