Position Summary

UNM Parking and Transportation Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the parking services business office. We are looking for a customer-driven, self-starter who can provide PATS customers with excellent service, support and guidance to their staff, and oversight of parking-related projects and permit inventory.

Those with previous supervisory experience, customer service, Microsoft suite proficiency, and the ability to pivot in a face paced environment are strongly encouraged to apply.

Daily duties will consist of oversight of front-line staff, to include training, record maintenance, database management, oversight of a variety of permit sales and staff schedules. Evening and weekend work required when needed, occasional work may be performed in an outdoor environment.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience supervising staff and student employees.
  • Cash-handling and balancing experience.
  • Experience developing schedules and allocating work assignments.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective reporting/tracking mechanisms for a variety of projects and stakeholders, including the use of technology and specialized software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite with expertise in Excel.
  • Ability to adapt and work between multiple software programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
