The Summer Worker is responsible for working with the Maintenance Tech and/or Facilities Manager to perform exterior maintenance and landscaping related duties as requested by hospital departments.

Job Duties:

• Develops and Maintains good human relation skills using the principles of the hospital’s values and expectations. Fosters an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect through effective communication and demonstrates positive skills evidenced by effective working relationships.
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times while working with equipment.
• Blows off sidewalks, sweeps entrances, and empties garbage cans at entrances daily.
• Cleans,and services all equipment used in grounds maintenance.
• Plants and trims lawns, trees, bushes, hedges, and shrubs using hand tools or motorized equipment. Applies herbicide and pesticide chemicals to grounds, trees, bushes, shrubs, and lawns in order to control plant diseased and insects.
• Perform variety of exterior maintenance duties such as pressure washing, painting, plumbing and repair.
• Assist Maintenance Tech and security when needed
• Keeps work areas orderly, clean and safe. Assures proper care in the use of tools, equipment and supplies.

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Experience in use of outdoor tools and equipment

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday; 8-hour shifts.
