Security Site Manager – Distribution Center Summary

The Security Site Manager must be able to manage all aspects of the security and loss prevention program at a Fulfillment Centers. The Security Site Manager will ensure all scheduled posts are filled with qualified, talented loss prevention officers. This position will interface with site facility management, loss prevention leadership, management, Recruiter(s), Scheduling Staff, and support staff. The Security Site Manager will also ensure that qualified candidates are continuously recruited and interviewed, creating a pipeline of qualified staff for assignment.

The Security Site Manager must maintain an “ownership mentality” as you are essentially managing a dedicated service operation for our highly regarded client.

Security Site Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience overseeing logistics/fulfillment centers preferred
  • Minimum 3 years CCTV experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years Access Control Experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years Badge Creation experience preferred
  • Security and safety related experience in a fulfillment center environment a plus.
  • Supervisory experience in the security industry, law enforcement or military required.
  • Education: Degree preferred not required
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process and continuously meet any applicable state, county and municipal requirements.

Security Site Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provides on-site leadership for the security personnel assigned to the facility.
  • Acts as the principle contact for client management at the facility.
  • The hiring, supervision, training, scheduling and development of all shift supervisors and officers assigned to the location.
  • Trains security staff and sustains awareness to plant emergency response activities, evacuation procedure, hazmat protocols, fire detection and injury reporting.
  • Audits security and safety related activities and equipment, reports findings and supports implementation of risk mitigation measures.
  • Documents incidents and conditions causing risk and forward reports to building leadership.
  • Train and sustain awareness among security officers to the facilities HAZMAT risk, identifying HAZMAT conditions and related reporting and response protocols.
  • Achieving performance metrics established by the client for the security functions performed by officers.
  • Achieving performance metrics established by Metro One for expense control, workforce quality, staffing, scheduling and report filing.
  • Establishing productive, collaborative relationships with client site management and Metro One management.
  • Maintaining communication protocols that provide a productive client relationship.
  • Maintaining all patrol / fleet vehicles and equipment utilized in performance of the security function on the site.
  • The performance of initiatives, emergency response and other tasks required by Metro One management.
