POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manufacturing Manager will work with manufacturing and R&D partners, mechanical & electrical engineers, and supply chain stakeholders to ensure Scantron remains a global data and image capture market leader.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES

  • Take ownership of the life-cycle management, from strategic planning to tactical activities, of Scantron’s iconic scoring and scanning product line
  • Manage multiple cross-functional and cross-site projects to comply with cost, schedule, and performance requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers and leaders to prioritize and delegate tasks in order to lead and align the engineering team with the company's vision
  • Gather requirements, define scope of work, allocate resources, and manage project communication plans for significant manufacturing projects, including component redesign and outsourcing initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage part obsolescence and redesign, as well as to mitigate supply chain risk and address part shortages
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks related to cost, lead time, business continuity and regulatory compliance
  • Partner with stakeholders to optimize order-to-shipment efficiency and drive daily operations to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers and distributors around the globe
  • Assist in leading quality management process to assure meeting high quality production and customer standards
  • Collect and synthesize customer insights (VOC) and competitive intelligence through customer interviews, market research, and channel knowledge. Make pricing recommendations that position the products to win in the market while maximizing margin potential for the business.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related technical fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing/leading people in engineering, product/project management, or supply chain management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with outsourcing partners and vendors to successfully optimize timely delivery of products
  • Demonstrated process development & improvement skills
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytic and planning skills
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization Desired Characteristics
