What does a Senior Manager of Logistics COE do at Swire Coca-Cola?
In this role you will lead the development and deployment of best practice operating methodologies for the continuous improvement of all aspects of Logistics (Warehouse, Distribution, Remanufacturing, Transportation, Fleet, CAM, and Service Networks). Partner with DC leadership teams to enable phased progression from current state toward world class Logistics performance through the establishment of project teams, working groups and targeted action plans. Ensure that appropriate operating culture, capabilities, and business processes are developed to enable transportation, warehouse, service, CAM, fleet, and distribution operations to perform at optimal safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Logistics functional leaders from across the organization to integrate continuous improvement methodologies, according to the established schedule and strategy, into ongoing business operations and budgets.
  • Implement and realize our return on investment of our Logistics continuous improvement system across all VAFs, remanufacturing centers, targeted distribution centers, fleet centers, service delivery, transportation and distribution networks.
  • Maintain expertise in all system aspects of warehouse and distribution functions, especially those provided by CONA.
  • Work with the CONA and Swire IT Teams to develop and test new and updated functionalities in the CONA system.
  • Partner with site leadership in identifying and training local leaders and in establishing a high performing organization that delivers on all KPIs.
  • Support local teams within the 48 Distribution Centers to detect, suggest, develop and implement different activities that contribute to excellence in the different activities in Logistics.
  • Ensure that effective training is provided for all teams in such a way that we ensure Logistics Excellence in all facilities and with all teams.
  • Detect opportunities and provide consulting and analysis with all levels of leadership.
  • Establish and maintain a strong association with The Coca-Cola Company and other Coca-Cola bottlers in order to effectively learn best practices, provide guidance/counsel where appropriate, and be aware of changing trends and requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business-related field preferred
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)-APICS preferred
  • 6+ years in a people-leadership role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment. required
  • 6+ years experience in warehouse or distribution operations required
  • KO Kore and ISO quality standards in a soft drink environment
  • Understanding of transportation (long-haul) dynamics
  • Specific knowledge of state and local standards and requirements for food production
  • Strong knowledge of safety (DOT, OSHA) requirements in Logistics
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance standards for manufacturing of food grade products
  • Familiarity with automated picking systems
