Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Learning and Development will play a key role in driving the company’s high-performance culture through cultivating exceptional talent and will be directly responsible for developing the onboarding strategy for Coca-Cola Consolidated. This high-impact, hands-on position will be charged with building, executing, and managing comprehensive programs, practices, and processes that foster a capability-building and talent-focused mindset and drive excellence to further Coca-Cola Consolidated's Business, Culture, and People Priorities. We are seeking a results-driven leader to take ownership of the first year of a teammate’s experience at Coca-Cola Consolidated. This person has deep experience in learning and development, is a thought leader and strong collaborator. This Senior Manager puts our teammates and business first, and is passionate about talent development, business strategy, and leadership. This position will work with teammates at all levels of the company, and have a team of two direct reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
  • Builds and executes robust teammate onboarding processes and practices that align with organizational culture and business needs. Assess quality, content, and effectiveness of training including course design, instruction, program evaluations, training materials, and learning reinforcement in achieving organizational objectives.
  • Refines competency models that drive organizational performance and support organizational values.
  • Provides innovative learning solutions to create exceptional teammate experiences throughout a teammate’s first year at Coca-Cola Consolidated.
  • Partners with the senior management team and business leaders to identify training opportunities, build and drive successful onboarding processes to drive engagement and retention.
  • Builds strategic partnerships with outside vendors and training institutions, to ensure continued progression in team members’ development. Develops performance analytics mechanisms to monitor organizational and individual performance against established goals and objectives. Leads efforts to design and implement tools and technology, resources, training, and reporting for enterprise-wide processes that are agile and easy to use.
  • Partners with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development Leaders to create models to understand the current and future talent needs of the company.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated instructional design and Learning and Development expertise
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Direct and successful experience designing learning programs and solutions for an organization within the L&D or HR function
  • A high degree of business acumen and strategic thinking and planning
  • Ability to influence business leaders at a senior level and possess executive development expertise
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills- be able to lead a team to make intelligent trade-offs in ambiguous situations
  • Superior judgment and integrity
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of direct work experience within Learning and Development
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated experience leading people

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
  • Prior experience creating teammate onboarding strategy and experiences
