Are you a creative, personable and experienced designer? Detail-oriented and able to manage renovation projects? We'd like to add you to our team of 3 talented designers in a positive, professional and flexible environment. We have the nicest, loyal client base and most of our new projects come through word of mouth.

RedBird ReDesign is an interior design firm with a successful 10+ year track record redesigning client homes in the DC Metro area. We take on a mix of design projects from room updates to major home renovations. We make design a fun, low stress and attainable option for our clients to have coordinated, unique and functional spaces.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills/background

*3+ years of design experience

*Manage projects independently start to finish (this is an important one!)

*Experience in kitchen and bath design & renovation

*Ability to communicate and work effectively with clients, make sure they are happy!

*Collaborate with vendors, contractors, partners

You will participate in all aspects of the design process including meeting clients, creating mood boards, sourcing furnishings and materials, partnering with architects, builders, skilled trades, overseeing installation and communicating with vendors. No two days are the same.

The RedBird team meets formally 2-3 times a week at our headquarters in downtown Silver Spring, and the rest of the week you will telework, meet clients and contractors to check on installations.

Job Details

• Open to full time or part time or (min 20 hours/week), parent-friendly schedule
• Compensation will be commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications

• College degree required; Interior Design degree/certificate NCIDQ preferred
• Must live less than 20 miles of downtown Silver Spring
• Design portfolio and/or photos of completed spaces
• Min 3 years of work experience in a professional design setting
• Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, measuring rooms and drafting floor plans
• Experience sourcing furnishings and materials from wide range of retailers and creating unique designs
• Familiarity with kitchen and bath design; selecting tile, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Must have driver's license and personal vehicle, computer and dedicated workspace at home
• Must be upbeat, team-oriented and willing to go the extra mile for clients and coworkers

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
