The Defense Group in Leidos has an opening Senior Network Installation Technician located at Ft. Meade, MD and will require travel.

POSITION/PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. This technician will support a large federal agency’s Network Infrastructure through survey, design, and deployment of structured networks and will be responsible for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment. This is accomplished through projects such as new installations, life cycle replacement projects, Cable Plant and wireless installations that are compliant with commercial, TEMPEST, and NIST standards.

• Create accurate reports and documentation to design/certify network infrastructure.
• Track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Developing Bills of Material (BOM) for network plant design requirements.
• Plans and performs preventive maintenance and scheduled upgrades (Life-cycle replacements)
• Investigates physical faults in the network.
• Report network infrastructure deployment status to key stakeholders.
• Have flexible working hours to be available to support off hour work, when needed.
