Description:

The Information Security Officer will be responsible for the development and coordination of the Bank’s Information Security program and personnel. The Officer will continually evaluate the Bank’s security posture and work with members of senior management and the Bank’s technology team to improve the program and mitigate emerging threats. The Officer will oversee all internal and external technology audits and exams and the remediation of any findings.

FOCUS ON ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL

  • Monitors the bank-wide compliance with established security policies and procedures and validates all documentation is complete and tracked in accordance with regulatory requirements. Monitors for changes in legislation and security best practices to enhance the Bank’s security policies and procedures. Monitors access to all systems and company resources to enforce an environment of least privilege.

FOSTERS COLLABORATION

  • Works collaboratively with employees of the Bank, at all levels, to ensure the Information Security program is seamlessly integrated in all departments. Meets with business process owners to analyze, document, and definite security requirements for all applications and systems. Works with new and current technology vendors to validate or enhance the 3rd party relationships that are in place to complement the Bank’s security program. Effectively communicates the Bank’s security program and posture to regulators, senior management, and the Board of Directors. Leadership, training, and team building skills are a necessity for the Officer.

PROMOTES A SECURE FIRST CULTURE

  • Ensures the Bank’s security awareness program is continually monitored and enhanced to properly prepare employees for the current threat landscape. Works with stakeholders, bank-wide, to guide the selection and implementation of new technologies while keeping security at the forefront of the decision process. Coordinates all business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response planning efforts and educates team members on their responsibilities in the events.

  • Security is an ever-changing landscape and requires continuous learning to keep up with the technologies, threat actors, and regulations. Seeks out information security certifications, conferences, and training opportunities for themselves, and the InfoSec team, to continue to enhance the abilities of the team, and in turn the security posture of the Bank.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. Proven working experience as an Information Security Manager, Related IT manager, or equivalent years of managing a highly technical team in a fast-paced environment is required. 5+ years of experience is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Risk, Data Governance, Digital Forensics, Computer Science, or related Information Technology Specialization. A Master’s Degree in Information Security and certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, PMP, or other relevant certifications are preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively. Professional presentation skills are required.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:

  • Ability to use telephone systems and possess good computer skills including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, cash advance machines and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.

  • This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
