JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees. 5. Develops and manages the budget for the Security Department. Reviews financial data to ensure expenditures are being recorded correctly and timely. 6. Ensures the safety, security, and comfort of employees and customers. Provides protection and safety to patrons and employees. 7. Accurately maintaining multiple databases, including barrment database and security/surveillance database (SSDB). 8. Maintains constant awareness of staffing in the Security department. Responsible for hiring, interviewing, and maintaining budgeted level of staffing. Also responsible for issuing progressive discipline and terminations of staff when needed. 9. Maintains inventory of supplies and tools to ensure sufficient supplies are on hand to handle emergency situations, medicals, and other security related incidents. 10. Reports and reviews Security activities with Senior Director of Casino Operations. 11. Completes all company required training within designated time frames and assures staff does the same. 12. Maintain good public communication skills and associations with vendors, DCI, IRGC, and other internal departmental Managers. 13. Meet with other departmental Directors and Managers as necessary. 14. Produce reports and/or spreadsheets of Security activities. 15. Responsible for ensuring quality training of department employees. Handles and develops training materials and assures that they are in compliance with all appropriate regulations. 16. Responsible for ensuring all evaluations in the Security department are being completed and issued in a timely manner. 17. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames. 18. Must be able to review reports written by others and correct errors. 19. Must be able to assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of all guests, team members, and company assets. 20. Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical/mental demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands:  Ability to stand for long periods of time with intermittent breaks on a daily basis, walk to various areas of the casino, and lift up to 250 pounds with help.  Must be able to walk up and down up to 9 flights of stairs while carrying up to 20 pounds.  Ability to read and comprehend information from identification cards in order to ensure authenticity and verify information such as date of birth.  Must be available to work 24-hours hours a day, 7 days a week, varied work schedules, weekends, and holidays. Mental Demands:  Use a telephone, two way radio, and computer in a clear and accurate manner.  Must possess the ability to learn and operate various computer software programs including, but not limited to, SSDB, Employee Access and Microsoft Word.  Read and write effectively and write Security Incident Reports in a specific format.  Obtain and keep current with First Aid/CPR/AED training, and have the ability to respond to medical calls of all types.  Maintain composure during difficult and/or stressful situations.  Accurately perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.  Maintain mental concentration for significant/extended periods of time.  Must be able to resolve customer complaints to the most satisfactory outcome possible.  Able to understand and solve complex problems. Work Environment:  Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke filled casino environment with above average noise levels. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:  Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Training/Experience:  Prefer five or more years of experience in security in investigations, surveillance, and patron/property liability of high volume business or industry. Job Knowledge:  Sound technical understanding and experience with all Security duties and responsibilities.  Knowledge of federal, state, local government, and gaming laws including OSHA regulations as applicable.  Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to operations financial data, company policies, procedures, promotions and employee relation’s issues.  Must be able to obtain and maintain Valid Gaming license.  Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.  Must complete all required company training.  Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurance requirements
