Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last seven years we have built a high volume food service, catering and delivery business. Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. We have also pursued our vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. We spent the majority of our energies during the COVID Pandemic serving NYC City Agencies in the provision of food for the underserved, as well as non-profit agencies throughout NYC.

Our mission is to build a more sustainable and equitable food system, starting by reconnecting consumers and local farmers. We believe the results of strengthening that connection are better nutrition, more tasty food, greater social justice, and reduced environmental impacts. Our menus reflect this attention to bringing nutritious, delicious food to those who need it most.

What You’ll Do:

• Driving refrigerated box truck and sprinter vans, delivering within New York City
• Driver is responsible for making timely deliveries of catering orders while using safe trucking and food handling protocols
• Loading the truck with bins of food, safely and security ensuring a safe trip to clients without damage to food; off loading at clients sites leaving bins organized for catering team to pick up
• Picking up after service, loading leftover bins on truck and bringing them back to the kitchen
• Ensuring and maintaining quality of goods during transport
• Using communication tools such as Slack and OnFleet to report location, time of deliveries and positive accountability of drop offs
• Working closely with Dispatch team, helping when necessary and ensuring all orders are accurate

Who You Are:

• Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID with proof of vaccination (Required)
• Experience driving Box Trucks and/or Sprinter vans (Strongly Preferred)
• Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time
• A self-starter and problem-solver spirit with extreme attention to detail
• Experience working on teams and enjoy being a team player
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Early morning shifts (5 AM start time)

Pay: $23.00 per hour
