Position Highlights
The team member will conduct components of the research project "Leveraging tree-ring records to quantify causes, effects, and recurrence for Arizona’s megadrought”. Under supervision of team leaders, they will i) participate in fieldwork in Arizona and the Four Corners region, ii) conduct lab work in the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, iii) implement dendroecological field and laboratory methods, iv) collect and produce tree-ring measurements, and v) contribute to metadata and archival procedures. The successful candidate will have general knowledge and use of principles, theories, and concepts of dendrochronological, ecological, and/or climate research, and have familiarity with all job functions (fieldwork, lab work, data processing, curation, archiving, and dissemination).

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Data collection (25%): The team member will conduct field dendrochronological fieldwork in Arizona and the surrounding region as part of a small team of university employees. 2. Data analysis (75%): The team member will process the collected data and perform quality control according to the highest standards, and participate in metadata and archival procedures.
