Referrals and Admissions Lead - Remote - Must be Easter Time Zone

As Referrals and Admissions Lead, you will manage the Admissions Funding Coordinators as well as coordinate and administer all participant benefits, services, admissions, and marketing & communication efforts for relevant programs.
- Provide leadership to the Admissions Funding Team
- Coordinate and lead training of new and incumbent Admissions Coordinators; act as a job coach and mentor for new hires; monitor development of new employees for additional training needs
- Lead in implementing new admissions procedures and coordinating projects and workflows; reassign workloads as necessary
- Identify issues negatively impacting the success of the Admissions Team and immediately intervene directly and/or through prompt notification to supervisor
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential referral sources and provide information on company programs
- Facilitate determination of referral viability - clinically and financially
- Check benefits for health insurance using benefits checklist, contact precertification, and establish contact with a case manager
- Complete all funding verification protocols Inform evaluator of benefits profile
- Identify all types of funding possibilities including primary, secondary, and ancillary
- Upon approval, submit information to funding source in an appropriate and expeditious manner
- Work with funder, program director, evaluator, and family as necessary to assure that admission is scheduled and organized
- Complete and process intake form, notify evaluator, and send documents for database input
- Distribute records and other documents to appropriate staff for clinical and medical approval; track and document status of clinical and medical approvals
- Track and record admissions, discharges, new referrals, and closed referrals on pathway; determine reason for closed referrals and record in file and in database
- Manage the “800” call/web-site referral system
- Take calls and facilitate an immediate response by each region to callers’ requests
- Provide research and resources to outside and internal callers regarding programs and product lines
- Provide administrative assistance to marketing; order and maintain inventory for brochures, marketing collaterals/premiums, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, etc. as required
- May facilitate design and distribution of newsletters, flyers, advertising, and brochures
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three years of experience in rehabilitation service provision
- Must have office setting experience
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
