Job Summary:

MedReview is searching for a skilled and experienced recruiter/HR generalist proficient in large volume recruiting to identify candidates to fill a variety of open positions. This is a new role. The primary responsibilities will include sourcing candidates, screening and shortlisting qualified candidates for interviews, conducting interviews, and managing communications with all applicants. They will develop and execute effective recruitment strategies that will assist in streamlining the hiring process and ensure open positions are filled with top-performers within proposed deadlines. They will be working with hiring managers to identify position requirements, create job postings and assist with onboarding new hires. The recruiter/HR generalist will also perform general human resources functions including payroll.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to draw in a large number of qualified candidates.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Handles job posting/sourcing and advertisement processes.
  • Handles communication with a wide variety of candidates.
  • Conducts applicant tracking, score cards and other metrics for recruitment reporting.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Conducts initial screening of candidates, schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions, scoring and other related matters to interviewing.
  • Creates updates on status of recruitment and monthly reports.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process.
  • Helps to facilitate employee orientation for new hires to guarantee successful onboarding.
  • Handles general HR matters with regards to events, onboarding, offboarding, retention, payroll and orientation.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in high volume recruitment and scaling for growth.
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, etc.)
  • Experience in sourcing to reach diverse candidate populations.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least five years’ experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • Experience managing payroll and other human resources matters.
  • Ability to analyze and report recruiting metrics.
  • Comfort in high volume recruitment.
  • Knowledge of Namely and Jazz HR a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Prior experience recruiting in the medical field a plus.
  • Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office location in the New York City financial district. Candidate will be required to be onsite frequently and located within a commutable distance to New York City.
  • Comfortable coming into office four days a week.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
