RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Treat patients, under the direction of a Physical Therapist
  • Handle routine treatment of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy, massage, traction, predetermined exercises, ambulation skills, and functional activities
  • Assist in tests, gait analysis and prosthetic checkouts
  • Assist in instruction for the patient and family in transfers, exercises, and ambulation
  • Continued support of goal achievement
  • Helping patients in their restoration of wellness and independence

REQUIREMENTS

  • Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Long-term care experience preferred
