The eClinical Solutions Engineering team has true greenfield opportunities for software engineers who want to develop innovative revenue-generating products that are revolutionizing the life sciences industry. You will work on a team that is developing enterprise-level clinical data software. You will make an impact:


As the Principal Data Scientist, you will be primarily responsible for the design, implementation and support of machine learning enabled products for the company’s elluminate software platform. These products facilitate our clients’ work on clinical trials. You will need to have strong analytical and technical skills to design best practice AI/ML solutions in close collaboration with the company’s business clients. In addition, you will serve as a subject matter expert on the use of AI/ML for structured and unstructured clinical trials data both internally and with the company’s partners and clients.

Your day to day:

  • Work with business stakeholders to design and build breakthrough approaches and solutions for our clients using AI/ML techniques
  • Deliver end-to-end solutions, including demonstrating deep understanding of the problem, research of prior art, design, generation, and augmentation of datasets, and model training, testing, and deployment
  • Work with the engineering team to deploy models in production environments and to track and identify any performance issues
  • Assist internal and external teams in consuming the results of these AI/ML models
  • Act as both senior technical contributor and mentor to provide technical guidance, training, and support to other members of a highly collaborative team

Qualifications
:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in data science and machine learning working with clinical trials, life sciences, or healthcare data preferred
  • Doctorate or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or a related field preferred
  • Track record of successful implementation of AI/ML models in real-world environments
  • Ability to work with incomplete or messy data from disparate sources
  • 3+ years of experience with Python preferred. Proficiency with SQL
  • Experience with natural language processing, deep learning, and MLOps a plus
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
