Bensonwood Homes oversees the operations of Unity Homes, which specializes in designing and constructing energy-efficient homes using sustainable materials and modern technology.

Unity Homes is seeking to hire a Preconstruction Manager for its growing team.

Overview

The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for overseeing Unity projects from the signing of the initial design contract to the execution of the construction contract. This person will oversee and coordinate the Designers, Estimators and Selections Specialists who make up the Preconstruction team. The Preconstruction Manager will also track and manage budgets, review designs and estimates, and draft and negotiate contracts. This full-time position is in a fast-paced environment that requires both collaboration and independence. The Preconstruction Manager position is primarily office-based, with the option of occasional remote work.

Primary Tasks

• Oversee all projects during the Preconstruction phase, and take the lead on certain specific projects
• Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure smooth project handoffs to the Preconstruction team
• Work with the Design team to ensure that each project is optimized for program requirements, budget and efficiency
• Provide leadership for the Selections team, oversee Unity s options for fixtures and finishes, and attend client Selections meetings as appropriate
• Work with the Project Management team to ensure that construction contracts are accurate and complete
• Be the primary closer for construction contracts

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary will be based on skill level and experience, with an anticipated starting salary in the $70-80,000 range
