Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellent collaboration; identify and evaluate project needs, escalating when necessary, proactively communicate and respond promptly to teammate needs;
  • Research, analysis and communication of legal facts and concepts;
  • Legal research of state and federal laws, regulations and policies;
  • Prepare presentations related to same.
  • Preparation of written guidance and communications for distribution across the Village;
  • Project management and process improvements;
  • Self-motivation to find ways to communicate progress across teams and manage complex projects and assignments.
  • Daily communication and interaction with legal and operational teammates, compliance, IT and clinical teammates related to assigned business partners;
  • Manage communications with state health departments related to facility operational waivers and regulations;
  • Research top innovations and regulation insights related to supporting business;
  • Preparation and attendance to meetings, as requested;
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A.A., A.S., B.A., B.S. Required;
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred;
  • Proficient understanding of WestLaw;
  • Minimum of four (4) years as a paralegal within a Law Firm setting preferred;
  • Working knowledge of Fraud, Waste and Abuse Laws (Anti-kickback Statute, False Claims Act)
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of general business programs such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Superior drafting and editing skills, with attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adjust priorities appropriately;
  • Understanding of database administration knowledge or contain the ability and self-motivation to learn;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment (Required);
  • Team player with excellent ability to collaborate; and

Salary/ Wage Range

$24.71 - $36.30 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
