Zachry Group Corporate Office - San Antonio, TX

Zachry Group is currently seeking a Facilities Painter/Yard Maintenance for the Corporate Office located in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a collaborative work environment with various labor responsibilities. This position is diverse, and responsibilities may vary on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform concrete and masonry work and repairs
• Perform manual labor, pick up and dispose of trash at all Zachry properties
• Service small equipment, mow, and edge grass, prepare grounds for planting and help plant flowers shrubs and trees water and tend
• Operate tractor mower and other small equipment
• Ranch work to include caring for livestock and other animals, fence repair barb wire chain link and wooden, help build as well,
• Assist with drywall and painting projects
• Assist in carpentry projects new and demo
• Assist other trades to complete work tasks and assignments
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to Read, Speak and Write in English
• Capable of walking/standing continuously, for extended periods of time
• Friendly and customer-service oriented
• Able to work under minimal supervision

PREFERRED:

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in facilities/grounds maintenance, carpentry and/or ranch maintenance position in a large office or similar facility

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects up to 50lbs safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will work in a professional office environment with frequent interaction with building occupants and guests. Each Porter is assigned to a wing of the building, which includes conference rooms, restrooms, coffee and Xerox copy area, and other common spaces. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment, under minimal supervision.
