In order to ensure we have top notch staff; Pa Peterson at the Citadel is offering Free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Classes with guaranteed employment. Applicants will be employed as Certified Nursing Assistance In Training until they complete the requirements of becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

By joining our team and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, we will personally train you to become part of one of the leading nursing facilities in the area. As a Certified Nursing Assistant student at Pa Peterson you will be able to touch the lives of countless residents and families, while furthering your education.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities that will be taught through our program:

• Hand washing
• Performing Oral Hygiene
• Shave a resident
• Preform Nail care
• Preform Perineal Care
• Give a Partial Bath
• Give a Shower or Tub bath
• Make occupied bed
• Dress a resident
• Transfer resident to wheelchair using a transfer belt
• Transfer using a mechanical list
• Ambulate with transfer belt
• Feeding a resident
• Calculate intake and output
• Place resident in a side lying position
• Preform passive range of motion
• Apply and remove personal protective equipment
• Measure and record Temperature, Pulse and respiration
• Measure and record blood pressure
• Measure and record weight and height

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Enjoy working with seniors
• Have excellent work ethics
• Must be able to work in collaboration with the nursing team
• Clean Background
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or a GED.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program Includes:

• Free CNA classes
• Free Books that required for the CNA class
• Preparation for the State of Illinois CNA Exam
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position upon completion.
