GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
UNIT DESCRIPTION:
We are a fast paced 12 bed ICU. We manage a complex patient population which include both medical and surgical patients. Medical patient includes serve sepsis, respiratory failure requiring advanced airway management, GIB (GI bleeding) requiring massive blood transfusion, kidney failure requiring CRRT, and multi organ failure with invasive and noninvasive monitoring. Surgical patients include post op pts that have various procedures/operations such as new trachs, abdominal, urological and vascular surgeries.
