We are now looking for a Network Development Manager-Industrial to join our amazing team in
Chesapeake, Virginia. This role is pivotal in meeting Volvo Penta’s targets concerning trust and customer satisfaction. In this position, special focus is given to support our dealers and growing our networks in North America’s industrial segment.
What is the Job?
As a Network Development Manager, you will be responsible for upholding Volvo Penta’s standards, increasing quality, and strengthening the industrial service network in North America. This position serves as the lead in developing the competency and footprint of service in the region, interfacing with dealers, distributors, and OEM dealers, as well as working with internal departments—Distribution Development, Industrial Sales, and other aftermarket departments.
Some of your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing, providing critical insight, and driving the development of the service network strategic plans in the territory.
- Acting as lead in planning and developing service together with other network facing personnel.
- Working with colleagues in all segments to establish and develop the highest quality aftermarket network to service end-customers and OEMs.
- Preparing and developing network to secure service and support for future technologies, such as alternative fuels, services, connectivity.
- Developing programs, processes, and other initiatives to increase dealer network quality.
- Recruiting and developing new business partners together with distribution channels.
For this position, you
should be willing and able to travel up to 75% both domestically and internationally.
Are You Passionate About Retail Development and Networking?
To be successful in this role, you will need an exceptional level of business acumen and management, and skilled with strategy, development, and integration. We are looking for someone adept at networking and developing our customers. Having an in-depth knowledge of the industrial market and parts channel management is a major plus.
As with Most Companies, You Also Need the Following:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook, and familiarity with database programs
- You’ll be speaking with stakeholders at all levels within and outside the company, so you’ll need excellent communication skills, including fluency in speaking and writing English.
Education & Experience:
This position requires the following:
- Minimum of a 4-year bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine and/or industrial retail trade, or equivalent (preferably in a service management role)
- Experience in automotive, Industrial equipment, power generation, or related, and/or industrial parts and accessories, preferred.
- Experience in automotive, marine and/or industrial engine (sales or service), preferred.
